As a graphic designer for Drees Homes, I am responsible for the design, layout, and production of all advertising and promotional collateral—as well as internal graphic design and visual communications—for the nation’s 13th-largest private home builder. Collaboration with peer designers, marketing department teammates, departments across the company, and outside vendors happens daily. From the moment of assignment, I immediately seek inspiration and am proactive in asking for feedback throughout a project’s evolution. Indeed, in my time at Drees, I’ve been bestowed the title of “Options Queen” for my penchant for presenting multiple concepts and visual solutions for review. In each round of feedback, I approach critiques with curiosity and a growth-centered mindset, working within (and imaginatively pushing the boundaries of) the Drees brand, and am constantly learning from the art director and senior-level executives.
